Meth Cleanup
As methamphetamine use in the United States has become more prevalent in recent years, the dangerous and deadly drug has become increasingly inexpensive to produce and find on the streets. Meth has a dangerously high addiction rate of around 37 percent. Cooking meth can typically leave behind pounds of hazardous toxic waste, and meth residue referred to as volatile organic compounds (VOC). Exposure to VOCs can cause a wide range of health conditions, including nose and throat irritation, headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, confusion, and breathing difficulties. Benzene is a powerful meth chemical known to cause cancer. Meth residue is especially toxic to children, and sustained exposure can lead to chronic health problems, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment Report.
So you have decided to test? Why use ABS? Our comprehensive suite of meth testing procedures can accurately discern meth residue concentrations. Testing methodologies include GS/MS (Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry), GC/FID (Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection) and MMRT (Meth Microgram Range Test).
MMRT meth testing will indicate if methamphetamine concentrations are present and if the levels exceed 0.01 micrograms per square centimeter (1.0 mg/100 cm2). This test can effectively identify if the contaminate levels are within the standard set by OEHHA.
To determine specific meth concentration levels, ABS utilizes GS/MS meth testing. Samples are taken from walls, surfaces, duct work, floors and ceilings. These samples are then subjected to chromatography with mass spectrometry in a lab environment. Specific meth values are rendered from this test. Using these values, ABS will create a work plan and develop decontamination, implementation and disposal strategies.
GS/MS and MMRT tests can also be used to evaluate meth exposure levels in vehicles.
Employing proprietary recovery and decontamination technologies and materials compatible neutralizing agents, ABS can efficiently and effectively remediate meth exposures. Our avant-guard technologies and neutralizing agents increase outcome efficacies why significantly reducing labor costs and timeframes to complete the decontamination operation.
ABS Decontamination Teams are trained and certified in meth level analysis, Work Plan development and implementation, Risk Assessment and implementation, meth residue recovery and decontamination, and contaminated materials disposal. ABS has successfully decontaminated numerous properties and vehicles, restoring compromised environments to safe and inhabitable pre-loss states of condition.

ABS can also address other high risk remediation concerns associated to crime scenes, to include but not limited to, ammunition disposal, needle, syringe, meth pipe and other drug paraphernalia disposal and Fentanyl, Carfentanil, other Fentanyl analogues and Methamphetamine testing, recovery and decontamination.
Fentanyl and Fentanyl analogue exposures are extremely dangerous. A business, residence, vehicle (car, tractor-trailer, aircraft, watercraft, etc.) and / or personal content exposed to Fentanyl and Fentanyl analogues should be considered an Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health environment (IDLH). The property or transport vehicle should be secured and entry prohibited. Only certified, insured and licensed HAZMAT remediation professionals trained in recovering and neutralizing Fentanyl and Fentanyl analogues should be used to remediate this IDLH environment. ABS meets all of these requirements.

Unattended Death Cleanup
Your Needs and Our Approach
When a person dies, decomposition begins immediately, releasing potentially harmful microbial organisms (viruses & bacteria), spores and unpleasant organic and oily vapor into immediate and surrounding areas of a residence or business. Cross-contamination increases exponentially with the involvement of insect activity and their associated metamorphosis processes. Insect activity in combination with body size and weight, clothing, digestive tract content, surface on which the body rests, cause of death, pH, oxygen levels, water, heat, and humidity accelerate the decomposition process. Decomposition is also referred to as unattended death or late discovery death.
Many individuals, the public, law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire rescue, medical examiner personnel, crime scene investigators and other officials who come in contact with the deceased are still unclear about, or miscalculate infectious risks associated with dead bodies and decomposition. The result, necessary precautions to minimize exposure risks and prevent cross-contamination are not employed or employed improperly. Poorly trained or untrained biohazard companies are not exempt. These companies, often not certified, uninsured or underinsured part-time companies, may fail to understand and / or identify biohazard exposure risks and use inappropriate cross-contamination, PPE, recovery and decontamination protocols, placing their employees, the client and community at risk.
ABS is a trusted, established, reputable and recognized industry leader in biohazard and HAZMAT recovery and decontamination services. Licensed, insured and bonded, we are committed to ensuring properties are restored to safe and inhabitable pre-loss condition using avant-garde recovery and decontamination technologies.
Our trained and certified biohazard technicians will remediate body decomposition and odor with dignity, respect and professionalism, restoring the affected residence or business to an inhabitable pre-loss state.
